| Being an old Roman town, Martigny has invariably attached great importance to tradition. So, apart from the Gallo-Roman Museum and the old Amphitheatre, you can visit the Mithraeum, antique Goddess Mithra’s temple. Due to Martigny’s special geographical location, the city is often called the axis of the Alps. Thus, Italy (ca. 75 km) as well as France (ca. 40 km) can be reached very quickly. |
